APDatec 37

SHILTEK 37 made of special glass fiber braid coated with silicone rubber. For protecting components such as pipes, lines, wires, hoses and hose lines as well as control cables against short-term bursts of flame, melt spatter and welding spatter.

SHILTEK 37 is easy to install and ensures a high level of protection even against reflected or induced heat. It is free from seawater corrosion and the ideal protection for flexible hoses or cables in the engine compartment of ships or boats. Main applications are aerospace, automotive, smelting, pulp and paper, glass, mining and steel industries. Temperatures of 1,000°C are also possible for short periods. Resistant to solvents and lubricants. Free of asbestos and ceramic fibers. It meets the new ecological requirements of the EN standards and ensures that the operator complies with the basic environmental requirements.

Homologations: • SHILTEK 37 is MSHA approved(ref. number IC-207/3) • SHILTEK 37 is classified FLAME RETARDANT according to AFNOR E48-084 • Specifications: • SHILTEK 37 is manufactured according to the SAE AS 1072 standard . • SHILTEK 37 enables hose manufacturers to use these sleeves in order to meet SAE AS 1055 standard for complete hose assemblies (this will require a certified test of the complete hose assembly).
